Anyone recorded external SDI yet?

I've been interested to know if the 4K HD resolution creates cropping on the top and bottom, or if it's full screen out of the SDI. I'm still interested in giving clients the option of a much faster workflow with the benefit of Scarlet's latitude and image. Let's not debate why anyone would want to do such a thing. I really just would like to know how the external video feed looks. And, has anyone used Convergent Design's Nanoflash for Scarlet/Epic yet?

External feed it almost there. It's not a crop but doesn't fill a 1080 frame either. There's a black border around the frame. RED is working on a solution.
