Can anyone recommend a good Nikon to Canon EOS lens mount adapter? Best one and best-cheap one?

You went all pirate on your photo dude.

Michael Moreno is responsible. :)

It's in honor of Pirates of the Caribbean 4's selection of the RED camera. Yo-Ho-Ho.

P.S. Great price on that adapter ($39.40) SWEET! But $21 for FedEx Ground 7-10 days is a little steep. ;) They should add AMEX as a payment method too. Ordered today. Thanks.

The Cinevate adaptors are nice and they are cheap. Plus they seem to have the right thickness to them so that the lenses can reach infinity. I have one from Fotodiox that gets me close but I feel its just a hair out. On the Zeiss ZF lenses this is a problem because they have a hard stop at infinity.

I have 2 Cinevate adapter, and 2 Fotodiox adapters.

The Cinevate units are well machined. I don't think Cinevate makes them, but they have the same quality build you can normally expect from them. They can be a bear to install/emove though. My 1st AC often has to ask me to deal with the adapters. They tend to come off the lens easier than they come off the body, and occasionally I remove a lens and then have to pull the adapter off the body.

The Fotodiox are cheap, and they feel cheap. But I like them better. They are easier to install remove on both the camera and on lenses. My 1st enver asks me to help with those.

The way I prefer to work is to attach an adapter to each F mount lens semi-permanently, and just remove it once at the end of the project.

I took a look at Novoflex (I think that's the name) but they were way too expensive. The only way they could work for me is if I could mount it to the camera for the duration of a shoot- and they don't work so well that way.

So, my advice- go cheap and make sure to buy one adapter for each lens you plan on using regularly.

Thanks for all the advice everyone. Mainly I just need it for the Tokina 11-16mm so I can use with my 5D2 and RED/Birger. Anything else to consider for that lens?

Good info guys. I just ordered the Cinevate, and will get the others if it doesn't cut it.

are the fotodiox pro really worth the $40 over cinevate? also where's the forum that I can introduce myself seems like there's none here.
