  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Anyone know of any Sony BP-U60 style batteries with usb and dtap output?

Preferably chinese branded. Also, I'm not sure what the generic name for this type of battery is - anyone know?

Edit, just realized bpu style wont fit on what i need to power! I'm looking for L series type batteries.

I just usually call them BPU's. SWIT makes ones with USB and d-tap, 86wh for $225. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1183535-REG/swit_s_8u93_sony_bp_u_series.html

I have a bunch of these (same physical size, but mine are only 63wh) from when the FS7 released, work great for everything. I've bongo tied them for D-tap supply, I've thrown them in my carry-on for a USB charger, and they run the FS7 for several hours.

Me too. Been running Swits for years. Great batteries for the price. I have them both for my FS7 and Epic-W

Preferably chinese branded.

Sadly I can't find any BP-U with D-tap or USB that are from China (as easier for me to source them from China, than USA or UK which have hassles with exporting batteries).

Otherwise I'd have purchased them in a heart beat!

Because I use BP-U a lot for my powering needs with my Sound Devices 552, Zoom F4, BMPCC, and Sony PMW-F3
