  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Anyone in Missouri?

Hey Eric, thanks for the link. Really a powerful trailer. The film?

It's called 'Soul of a Man,' produced and co-written by Kim Baer, directed by infrequent REDuser poster Tom K. Jones. The victim of the murder at the center of the story was Kim's great-great-grandmother (we shot her funeral scene in the actual 1830s mid-Missouri church, virtually unchanged today, where it really happened), so I guess you could call it a 'passion project.' I've seen a mostly-finished cut, but I'm afraid I don't know anything about its current release status.

Among other duties, I played the creepy would-be child rapist who ends up hanged from the bridge with the kids spitting and hucking rocks at my corpse. In truth it was a very small role, so I was tickled that my only line — 'Yer momma musta been a purty li'l thang' — made the trailer. :blush:

Creepy for sure and adds a lot to the trailer. Interesting story.

This is on my 'must watch' list.

'Mullberry Tales' is about a boy with the onset of adolescent schizophrenia, and how he tries to silence the voices by typing on an empty typewriter at a secret hideout in the woods. A local girl discovers him and befriends him, and helps him deal with the demons.

A dark childhood drama. I'm happy to share the script if it sounds interesting. I have permission to use a Connie Talbot song as well.

We're right smack dab in the middle of Missouri - about an hour fifteen from the Lake - with two REDs. We're currently in the middle of shooting two shorts "A Face Fixed" and "Scraps" but depending on what you're timeline is I'd love to hear what you have in mind.

Tom is also a great resource. We've worked with him on several projects in the past and I'm sure we will again in the near future.

Our spring/summer is filling up quickly but if we can be of any help, let us now.

Here's the link to A Face Fixed --> http://afacefixed.com/

Some beautiful country around there ...

Wow that's a blast from the past. After finishing the trailer and last round of cuts of the short I turned everything over to Kim. I haven't heard what it's current status is.

I actually have a guy working on an original score as a favor for me so I can use the trailer on my reel but I need to track down the voice tracks I used and I haven't had time to thoroughly search my hard drives.
