  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Anyone have HD footage from a Cook 20-100 T3 lens?

I hear many people swear by this lens in the 70's and some in the 80's. I was wondering if anyone has shot with this on RED and has any HD footage of it. I'd love to see its characteristics. I don't see them for rent anywhere but I do see them for sale around the internet. It might be nice to own for outdoor shoots.

Anyone know where to find HD footage of it? I know a few films shot with it, but they only had SD trailers, so that doesn't help much.

VERY soft until mid f-stops - you can even see it in 480p until F5.6 or so.

Not worth it, in my opinion.

I may remember wrong, but I think it also breathes quite a bit, and it's HEAVY.

It is a fine lens. It does not breath. It looks great on the Red. Particularly since T3 is the new T2 with the MX.

I think Rob is confusing the 20-100 with the 250-250 mk1
