Hey guys,

I'm looking for a 12:1 or higher 4k Scarlet .r3d (still or 2secs worth of motion...e.g. 250megs) to mess around with in RCX. I think the most I've seen is 8:1, but I'd like to see how 12:1 or even 18:1 holds up. A 2second indoor clip is preferred, but beggars can't be choosers.

Thanks.

I say it over and over to people on this forum over PM! I have ftp with 50 gb free space. As i wait for my scarlets I want to share sample footage with everyone on this forum. please email me: margawry at gmail com and I`ll send you an ftp adress to upload footage. Than I`ll provide direct weblinks for anyone who need it. People please help! lets create one forum thread with lots of sample footage on one adress... Lets test it, let us see if it is worth its price... I have semt a lot of PM to people that have some saples, but without responce. Share share share! please...

I have some R3D's I can share, I can include one shot at 12:1 and I think I may have an 18:1 of the same shot I can dig up as well. I'll email you later today Marceli.

Thanks guys. If something gets arranged, that would be excellent.

Sean, that's basically what I want to find out as well. My theory is that, if I'm going to be downscaling to 1080p, I could probably get away with a much higher compression ratio most of the time, only requiring 8:1 or better when I plan on mastering in 4k. That way REDmag recording duration (and HDD space in general) would be conserved when shooting non-mission critical stuff.

Ha... Hey Sean, yeah I was just checking it out (from the Sunrise thread). Congrats, by the way.
