I am in the market for a new on-set monitor and I am leaning towards the 15" sunbrite monitor from Marshall..

Anybody seen one of these or one of the smaller ones? Are they really good outdoors?

I have tested this monitor on my steadicam and thought its shows 600 nits on specs it looked reasonably bright out doors and I could view everything fine with out probs. It looked very bright and nice. I ve played with it only for a few minutes as more were in line but I was very impressed.Nice viewing angles as well. But test before you buy so you get your own oppinion about is as its not cheap.

Thanks, Constantine. Yes, testing would be nice but I don't expect any dealers in Bangkok for things like this so I will just have to make up my mind and hope for the best.

According to the specs it should be as bright as RED's 5.6" monitor, but maybe the transreflective magic adds some contrast, right? I am just looking for something that is better then the Panasonic 17" HDSDI monitors, which I find almost useless outdoors.
