Had a little accident and the hinge on the 4.7” ripped. It still turns on but isn’t 100%. Glitches arbitrarily and sometimes starts freaking out and requires a reboot.

Has anyone ever sent in a monitor for repair and has an idea of cost? Trying to figure out if it’s worth it over buying someone’s monitor on RU (or New).

3ce over the years, 2 out the 3 were free (or almost) but the 3rd one was $850 total cost. They replaced 2 different components, one was cheap and the other was almost 650 (not sure the exact figure) . Guess it all boils down to what's getting replaced and there's no way of knowing till you send it in but once you send in there's the min cost (evaluation cost + your shipping) you will incure of course

Broke the LCD on my 4.7" and the repair was about $600 including labor. Different issue than yours of course but maybe that helps a little. For RED's
part, they were very responsive and the whole process between dropping it off, them fixing it and me picking it up took about a week and a half.

My 5" Touch crapped out on me after about 4 years. No physical damage that I could see but just was glitchy. I think it ended up costing about $250 not including shipping.
