Any way to make a short R3D file from a longer one?

Is there anyway to create short R3D footage out of longer one by applying in/out points?

I want to do this because I need to create really concrete R3D material without any excess portion of clips for demo purpose.

Does anyone know?

No... currently REDCODE cannot be written just read.

You can't currently trim R3D files. You can of course trim when wrapping R3Ds to QuickTime, but the resulting file is limited to 2k as you can't open the resulting file in Redcine or Red Alert.
