  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Any tool that can handle RCN files?

Is there something like that? Unfortunately, I can't find a suitable version of at least Redcine anywhere...
 
I think you need to be more specific. RCN files? Have you tried REDCine-X for your needs?
 
REDCine-X only reads RCX files. I appreciate you trying to help but if you don't know what RCN files are, you probably can't?

At any rate... RCN was the file extension for the project format before REDCine-X was released. My files are 4 years old and I don't have a clue when they made a switch and decided to simply not support the old format in REDCine-X any more.
 
Thanks for the offer, I'll get back to you on that! (I wouldn't have posted this thread without searching first... and all links on the web for regular REDCine refer to red.com support - where it's obviously not available any more)
 
Download the trial version of Assimilate scratch and see if it supports it, as the original Redcine was developed by Assimilate with RED.

You could probably understand my comment in the context of you only having 3 posts here. I obviously underestimated your level of knowledge based on that. Sorry.
 
@ MichaelP: No dice. It can handle the R3D-files, yes. But that's it...
 
My bet is you will have better luck finding someone with an old version of Redcine...i usually have every download stored and only about a month ago cleaned up and deleted the old redcine and i think rocketcine programs....since i no longer had use for them---except for times like this.
 
I still need this.
Thought I'd give it another shot, in case somebody besides Gunleik maybe still has a copy somewhere.
