Any solid word on when shipping will begin?

Incorrect. There are orders of magnitude MORE RAVEN orders than Scarlet-W. Think about first time RED buyers, people who want B and C cams, drone operators, gimbal operators, and everyone else. Simply put, there are a TON of RAVEN orders. It's also why RAVEN will become more expensive when it launches on the 17th.

OP ordered within 2 days of Raven being announced. That, including the amount of switches, my guess is March 17th. Not sure if there's a "right" or "wrong" here.. Just my guess along with Jarred's info.

Are you sure that wasn't a combination of RAVEN brain-only + Scarlet W brain-only early signees? I'm asking because I haven't read that the early blast was for RAVEN switchers only.

my guess is the initial deal is too good and there will be even higher demand if it a hit in the industry.

Trust me, I'd rather have my camera sooner than later but the truth is, the people who swapped over from RAVEN to W were a lot, but it's no where close to the number of RAVEN orders. When RAVEN begins to blast on March 17th, it may take a few blasts to get through the launch orders. There were a lot of them. Then it will become a steady move of date but the most dense day is September 25th. Yes, people swapped to W, but not enough to make a huge dent in how many of these things they sold.

I'm no where close to the front of the line. I'm realistically looking at May. April if I'm lucky.

Heh heh heh that's a bit of a stretch but we are working on a killer price for the Raven Packages customers to get a case too. Raven is already too good of a deal and don't be surprised if the cost of Raven goes up sometime after we start shipping ( don't worry all you guys that have your pre-orders in are safe )

That quote isn't exactly conclusive... "Don't be surprised" isn't a guarantee. I wouldn't be surprised if the prices are raised, but at the same time I don't think it would be a good idea. The only thing separating the Raven from the Scarlet-W is $4000 and a mount. They couldn't bump the prices up without cutting in on Scarlet-W territory. Sure, they could raise those prices too, but it would be a big disappointment if they did. Scarlet-W is in a good place to disrupt the $15K-$20K price bracket right now, and I don't think it would fair as well in the $20-25K.

But what do I know? The quote about Raven prices is certainly unnerving to someone like me who wants to buy one but was planning to wait til later this year. I'm considering a pre-order now, which is probably exactly what Jarred was aiming for
