  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Any news about the new REDMAG 1.8” SSD (512GB) or 1 TB ?

But won't the DI and VFX all be 2K at best?
I don't know that might be a decision by the VFX/DI/Editors on the film...I'd expect the DI to be at least 4K but 2K VFX on 4K films seams to be the norm, not like I'll notice on a 1080p Blu-ray but in the theater I'd really like to see the full 4K glory...I hope 4K VFX becomes the norm for 4K movies soon, sadly even 2K VFX is a render nightmare so I completely understand if its only 2K, so far 2K VFX on 4K films has gone largely successful for all but the biggest pixel peepers, BUT its still nice to know EVERY single element was 4K on a project just because...

Good luck! They were secure formatted and have been shot on again on other things, then secure formatted again. There is no chance of getting anything. Trust me.
Oh man you couldn't have left a little something on there? Just kidding :D :D, that's definitely the way to format though....must have been a fun DIT gig for you though!

Ketch, how much are you selling the 512GBs? God, if you really had a 512TB that would be worth millions!

Ha ha, typo, I have been doing lot of that lately typing away with high fever... ;)

I'll sale mines for $3,400 each Will or $6,500 for my last two, to note that this are literally as BRAND NEW, only formatted them once.

Yes, I wonder how these new 512GB/1TB MiniMags will effect current 512Mag demand in general... And with the new Mini Side SSD Module, I love how yet again, the modular design of the EPIC is rewarding those that bought into the concept. Well done!

The new 128 and 512 and 1TB are faster than all the old ones said Jarret. So i ll be waiting a month!!

4K. Michael Bay always pushes the boundaries. The main VFX houses have always worked on the TF movies right up to the release dates because of the complexity of the robots and high-resolution clarity that Bay goes for.

Great news that soon we will get those 1TB ssd cards! price??

I hope they are less expencive than the old one and a thunderbolt cardreader would be fine!!
