I've found on this forum an information about their products. I was very interested (and still interesting) about their product, but.... Forum of the viewfactor has a lot of spam, pretty outdated messages from the users/buyers side ONLY, some messages are about year of waiting of the purchased equipment.

The birger site actually not understandable (at least from my side), i cannot found any ways to browse their product/shop.

Is it danger to make some payment to them? If it is actually any products available thru these companies? If not - if it means that their products are completely dead or they've just change the name/sell company and i can found and safely buy their products anywhere? Sorry for my english and if i've put current thread in the wrong part of this forum?

Thanks a lot
Valentyn

Birger is fine, it's the people waiting for the Viewfactor Follow Focus system that have been waiting more than two years now.

HOWEVER - Any Birger mounts bought now risk invalidating your Red One warranty (there is a grandfather clause for those of us who bought earlier than the cutoff). That said, the system is phenomenal and we use it more than our PL mount thanks to the awesome and cheap Canon EF/EF-S lenses.

Here's a direct link to Birger's order form:

Valentyn,
Type Birger into your search field and you should get several recent posts. The posts are more rare these days, they are just spread out a bit.

I am a huge Birger fan. I am bummed that not everyone has the same previlage to use the Birger mount. I have three Red cameras all mounted with Birger #206, #1076 and #3056. The combination of Birger, Canon lenses, Red & Viewfactor have been a big part of my success.

Without a doubt Birger is one of the top three accessories for RED ever created.

I use it every single day. Erik is a great guy and a genius at what he makes.

I'm just a happy customer.. I also made some videos on the Birger mount, not sure where they are though... It's been a while!

(We also go over it in great detail on the RED101 DVD)
