Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on this.

Basically I want to be able to use split screen mode on the cm171. One side to see what the red is seeing and then the other side with a collection of frames that the red has taken.

Initially I thought of using an sdi to thunderbolt (red camera --> cm171 --> macbook pro) I would then screenshot whatever is being fed. Then I'd go into split screen mode on the cm171 and switch the macbook pro going into the cm171 input.
Problem is I haven't been able to find a thunderbolt to SDI that's cost effective. Only found ones that are 300+. I was also thinking of going thunderbolt to hdmi to sdi into the cm171.

Is there an easier and more cost effective way of doing this?

I am using a Black Magic UltraStudio Mini Recorder and Mini Monitor (has SDI and HDMI in to Thunderbolt 2 out and visa versa) with an Apple Thunderbolt 2 to Thunderbolt 3 adapter to feed signals into and out of LiveGrade. The Mini Recorder/Monitor is very cheap bought it at DV Shop on Dundas W.
