Hello,

I've been the happy owner of set of Zeiss ZF primes for about 3 years now. Love the look, and feel and would never part with them unless I had to.

My 35mm Zeiss f2.0 began*making clicking/clunking noises when I rotated the focus wheel (Not to be confused with the Iris/Aperture wheel) all of a sudden today. It only happens when moving anti/counter-clockwise.

I was wondering if anyone could help possibly shine a light on what's occurring here. Many thanks!

Alex

You might have something funky in your helicoid from torque.

My personal advice would be to send it in to Zeiss for a repair (possibly Could even get it covered under warranty.)

Secondary advice- Duclos Lenses or Steve’s Camera in the Los Angeles Area could almost certainly take care of this.

Thanks for your reply, Dan. I Appreciate it.

I bought the lens 2nd hand/USED a couple of years ago. I think I may have a warranty card. Not sure. I have the serial code and instruction manual. I'm based in the UK, England, so have access to the repairs shops that exist over here if you know of any.

Any ideas what might have caused this irregular issue?
