  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Upon the release of our QRC-EPIC Gold Mount for the EPIC camera, we have received feedback regarding the cable length being too long. Currently the cable length is 27 inches, and we would like to hear from you what length you would prefer. Based on your recommendations we will choose the most popular length suggested and will change the specs of our QRC-EPIC.

I have just received my qrc epic plate and found the cable just a bit too long .
My vote goes for 20" .
Btw , i also got the Matrix plate with 15mm adaptors and it is one really nice piece of equipment. Complements beautifully the ab plate .
I'll have pictures of my setup as soon as i receive my tactical top plate.

The extra legnth allows me to take the battery off the camera and put it on my belt for handheld. However, the cable is way too long when the battery is mounted on the camera. It really only needs to be 6-8 inches max, then maybe offer a 20' extension for people who want to go with the belt mount.

BTW- love the antons for the Epic!

8" or so. With attention paid to how the Lemo locator is oriented so it doesn't need to twist much if mounted off the back. I have the QRC-Epic and its about the same length as my QR-RED plus the 2b to 1b adapter. Way too long. I was going to send it out to have it shortened. Can you guys do this Kyle?
Dionic HCs are miraculous on the Epic, just need to tame that cable.

I would like to know if the cable on the Anton Bauer Plate I bought for my Scarlet X can be shortened. Its unmanageably long...

6 inches for the backpack configuration. Those who want a longer cable can use the existing XLR option.
 
6 inches is more then enough. even on our Clutch or Mantis with the batt on the back 27 is way too long
 
It's 11 inches to the back of the clutch. 12 inches would barely give slack to be able to remove the Matrix from the rods at the back.

12 inches seems a good compromise for different tripod, back pack and hand held/shoulder brace configurations.
