You've seen Epics on UAVs and Epics in 3D. I bet you haven't seen an antique Epic. Check out my Graflex Super D & Epic rig. I made this for a through-the-lens shot for my short film Magic Camera.

I've been wanting to do this for a while ;-) you beat me to it. Got a screen shot?

Tim - I set it up to capture the way the image looks on the ground glass. That camera is a 4x5 SLR and the viewing glass is on top of the Graflex Super D. I also wanted to image to go through the antique lenses before hitting the ground glass. So it was a very deliberate strategy to film the working of the camera and not to just add a look to the footage.

Sam - I'll will share a cut of the project when it's appropriate and maybe more photos of the rig when I get my hands on them.

Thanks Michael! I hope the project goes really well!

Now I did say a while back that someone would do a Coatwolf camera arrangement with a RED. In the fullness of time, such has come to pass, - well sort of. All things come to he who waits long enough. That last statement of course is anathema to RED's ethos which is understood to be "let's get it done already". Enjoy.
