Hello, have 2 Epics and have just received our 2x Antenna-X upgrade kits. Have (obviously) signed up and have the link to the video which runs through the install steps, however the link goes nowhere. I have made contact with RED to no avail, does anyone know of a link I can view this or a PDF outlining the instructions???

Any help would be great.

Thanks.

Check the email that you received to get the antennas from RED.. there was a PDF and a video in it.

Also be aware, I was not, that some Epic X models all ready have an upgraded antenna in them. I guess this explains why I thought the REDmote worked as explained from RED.
On my Epic I noticed that there was not a red colored circuit board looking antenna in the space where it should have been and that my antenna looked exactly like the one they sent me with one exception that the one in the camera was soldered to the cable which attached it to the camera not just a plug or connector. My RED service tech almost before I asks what was up explained what the deal was.

Thanks Russ - thought I was going crazy when I pulled it out and was in the same situation as you were - already fitted when shipped to us.

Cheers for the help !

What did he say Russ? Mine is the same as yours but the cable is not soldered its just hanging there with no attachment

Paul, I would call RED tech support and see what they say after you describe your particular situation with your camera. My cable or wire was connected to the antenna by a soldered point on the antenna.
If it is not obvious to the PDF explanation or the video you will want to talk to RED to see if your antenna setup is how it should be.

Does your redmote work ?

Beware of the board that looks like a new style antenna, Ive asked Red for Clarification as the advice was still to swap it out as one of our cameras was in the SN rage for replacement, but no response as yet. Also an earlier camera SN appears to have new style board and a later SN by a few hunderd had the old antenna. Ad like some conclusive guidance on this. I think we are good with what appears to be a new style board but just would like conformation.
