Another terrible Epic vs. Alexa vs. F55 "test"

I would only trust a test like this if this were a name DP under controlled circumstances, using a non-biased post facility that matches the look of the two cameras as neutrally as possible.

He's referring to it as external because
a) it's not built in and
b) it's an additional cost to record RAW. Same as the RED Modules would be called external...

Yeah, it's a bit unfair to call out the F55 as having "no internal RAW" when RED cameras ships without: RAW, monitoring, power, lens mount or even an interface. The F55 might not have built in RAW but neither does a RED brain without a $1,500 RAW module, $600 battery mount, $1,000 side grip and $600-$1500 lens mount... The RAW recorder for the F55 is only $5,500 which is about the same price as all of the necessary bits to make a RED function.

The real question in this test though is why there is a salad dryer on that lamp.

Dont worry i saw someone do a comparison between a epic and a canon 5D 3 and they said the graded footage from the canon was better... i laughed... a lot!
