  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Can we have a tooltip or a bin label or some other method to show the time of an individual clip, as well as total time of all clips in a particular bin?
Often we send out footage for dailies and the question of "how much total time did we shoot?" and it's hard to figure manually just using drive space (and since we are always changing compression and frame rates so drive space alone doesn't help)
Unless there already is such a function, and I have not discovered it yet...
Cheers,
Harry

You can see the total media duration of an individual clip (not taking into account in and out points) in the Duration field of the Metadata panel or a Metadata window.

There currently isn't a display anywhere for the total time of all clips in a bin, but as a workaround you can:
1. Select all the clips, then drag and drop them into viewer.
2. Move the viewer scrubber to the end.
3. The timeline timecode will now indicate the total duration of the clips. You can see the timeline timecode by choosing "TC" in one of the drop downs at the bottom of the viewer.

Aha! Good enough. Many thanks, Grant!
Cheers,
Harry
