I just submitted my second RED oriented iOS App to Apple for approval. The App gives you quick easy access to many common Settings, Controls and Tools. It's called RED Setter. You can read a bit about it's functions here: www.FishTalesPress.com/RedSetter

I've also made a Q&D demo video for the Apple reviewers to watch so that they can see what the App does. They can't actually test the app without having a RED camera to connect to, but fortunately, in a case like this, they will accept a demo video in lieu of running the App for themselves. If you'd like to get a sneak peek, the demo vid is in my DropBox public folder here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/uwmlnr1vd2xub0v/RED%20Setter%20Demo.m4v?dl=0

The App should be available in a week to 10 days depending on Apple's Thanksgiving backlog. It will sell for an introductory price of $19.95. You must use firmware 5.2.7 or later to access all of the functions because some of them are only in SDK 6. I've been running it on the 5.3.19 Beta.

Seems nice for the price. No frills, just quick options. Nice.

Cant seem to get it to work with my hotlink, which is odd as the Red App works fine.

I've updated the App to allow for manual entry of IP Addresses for devices like the HotLink that don't seem to discover wifi connections in the normal way. Just enter the IP of the HotLink and it will connect. I also updated RedSetter to support manual IP Address entry too.

I've been tinkering with adding AppleWatch support to RedSetter. I put a short demo video of it running in the XCode simulator in my Dropbox public folder:

What you are seeing is RedSetter (on the left), AppleWatch (on the top) and my 5" Touchscreen (lower right). You can see that when I tap the record button on the AppleWatch Simulator, it reports the tap to the RedSetter App and the camera starts to record. Tap again and the camera stops.

Of course I can't even submit this update to Apple until the AppleWatch actually exists, but in a couple months....

I just received my AppleWatch today so I have finally been able to test the version of RedSetter that I had prepared shortly after Apple made the Beta of WatchKit available to developers. At that time, I all I could do is test it on the simulator. Now I've been able to run it on real hardware. I've made a short demo video that I have to submit to Apple with the update so that they can see it working.
They have lots of AppleWatches, but no RED hardware:001_smile:
Here's a link to the demo video if anyone wants to see it in action:

When Apple approves the update, I will post another notification.
