I'm in post on a music video I shot Saturday night for musician Peter Searcy.

It's looking so good that I thought I'd post some screen grabs.....

Shot on build 20, 4k 2:1, all tungsten lights ( little lowel pros ), Canon 24mm f1.4 L wide open on a birger mount with the impero.

Grading done in Apple Color.... going for funky.

Hi Chris,

Cant wait to see it - absolutely love the grade on the close ups-
very sharp and gritty.

nicely done sir.

( be great to see a raw frame grab to see your grading progress- if poss :P )

wow nice.. it would be so neat if this grade could be shared as an XML anyone know what I mean? like if this was saved as a photoshop action... and I could then load it and use it.... but for video? inside premiere?

is that possible?

I think it looks great. A bit "other-worldly". In the second shot (where he looks from right to left) is that lighting or is the Gamma different? I also see a bit of compression in his hair around the ear... but I am no expert.

How did you get this "halo" effect around his head?

I felt we needed to have some contrast to the indoor shots... so we did some city/night available light shots the other night.... coming along.... actually added a fair amount of grain just to give it a gritty look ( don't get me wrong... I love clean as well, but it is a rock video )
