  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Announcing the RED TOUCH 7" @IBC14

It arrived! Had to upgrade my firmware and presto, a wonderful image appeared. Nice and sharp, this one is. Mark Pederson, you were right. It's pretty sweet.

Thank you Bomb Squad guys, Kevin Solomon and Patrick Riddle, for the speedy service! Sharpest monitor yet. I've come full circle on RED monitors, had the original 7" with my R1. The 5" was a nice form factor, but just a tad small. The 9" was wonderful for the eyes, but a bit of a sail. This is the right size.

It's the Goldilocks monitor.
 
I enjoy repurposing stuff, such as my 9" monitor case, which is actually an iPad case. The 7" fits like a glove in it, simply turned sideways from how I had the 9" positioned. Thing I like about this case is one side also has a hard plastic panel inside to protect the screen from bumps and dings that a padded case alone would not do.

Anyone else finding the hinge very stiff? I mean, I'd rather that over it being too loose, but I feel like I'm gonna break it. I suppose it will easy up over time.
