  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Announcing Scarlet-W

Can't wait to see test footage! Preferably downloadable so I can mess around with some grading :)
 
Does anyone know if there is a thread dedicated to showcasing all DSMC² 3rd Party modules that have presently been announced? This is a collection I would like to get more familiar with if someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks!

Heh Heh Heh, may be why not, if it's company plan, as I said before I don't know the procedure I was giving only suggestion :)
you are the best man, I know red team are doing their best to make sure there is no delay in shipping process.

I have SCARLET-W Base I/O V-Lock Package, and submit my order in 15/12/2015, just approximately when do you think my camera will ship?

Also I give suggestion before 2 month to make new forum for Scarlet-w same as Weapon, Drgon and Raven. better for us to keep tracking only scarlet-w update thread.
 
Hi, Im new on the red ecosystem at least as an owner, I have work a lot with them and finally I made the deposit for one, the scarlet-w on February 18, can someone help me out with and estimated time of shipping weeks or moths before the first batch?
I've seen a few people asking this but no answer yet.

Welcome to the family Jeico!


Quite frankly right now we have a whole shit-ton of processing and orders and shipping going on with finishing up the Weapon upgrades, sorting out the 8k lines for next month's batch of sensors and kicking off shipping the Scarlet-Ws so logistically we are stuck in the chaos of hour by hour right now. Logistically we should have a better idea when things calm down next week so should be able to give you guys an update then.

Exciting news on the 8k line!! About to begin a Giant Screen Film and can't wait to see what 8K Weapon looks like projected in 8K laser.

I only had a short time to test my Scarlet-W before heading out of town, but I was not able to find a 1920x1080 option for ProRes. Is this currently possible or only 2K? I could have easily missed a setting somewhere but this is a pretty important feature for me so hoping it is there or will be implemented soon.

Yes of course. When you're shooting whatever resolution, make sure you select the HD ratio. For example 5KHD. This will downsample to 1920x1080 instead of 2048x1080.
