  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Angenieux Optimo DP 16-42 on Helium

Covers 7K FF completely, but not full coverage of 8K FF. Vignette in 8K FF from 16 through about 20, but then goes away for the most part. Honestly pretty similar coverage to Dragon 6K. Optimo DP's covered 5.5KFF, but not 6K FF. The sensor sizes are pretty close. Still a great looking lens on Helium if you can settle for 7K or handle 20 and up.
 
Thanks, this is quite helpful. I'll be interested to see how the DP's and Style's compare to the EZ line later this year. I'm guessing EZ (S35) will fully cover 8K FF
 
Yea I'm curious about this as well. Have had a set of the DP's for several years and as the price continues to drop, it is hard to sell them versus hang onto them. The EZ's I think will be the answer moving forward, but Helium is actually breathing some continued life into the DP's if you can handle the slight lack of full coverage.
