angenieux 9.5-57mm filter size

hello,

I have an angenieux 9.5-57mm lens that has a front filter thread of 65mm. Does anyone know where I can get adapters to get me out of this size?

as of now I know I will need to step down to 62mm from 65, and eventually I will probably need to step up to 67 or 72.

Are there any stores I can get these things at or will I have to get something custom machined?

If I need a custom part is there any machine shop that you can reccomend in the DC area?

That's an odd size, but that's the french for you. Do you have the original lens hood? It should separate to allow you to use drop in filters (series 8 I think). Maybe you can adapt that to use a different filter size?
In addition to the vendors above, you might also try Whitehouse av, they used to sell a lot of 16mm gear and may have one in a box somewhere.
If I were you, I would also always step up my filters, not down.

ive exhausted all options. Im going to end up getting a custom ring made. thank you

Probably the easiest thing to do is to get an 80mm front put on it. Then you could get an 80mm clamp on series 9 holder.
