Hello everyone. I recently spent a very long weekend documenting my lens tests with the new Dragon sensor and the collection of lenses at my disposal. Rather than assume all data from the manufacturers was accurate and complete, I wanted to see what would and would not work in 6K. I had many surprises and I'd like to share some of them with you.

Please visit www.bit.ly/ang24290 to download a PDF of the results with the Angenieux Optimo 24-290. I was really sad about this zooms performance, but thankfully there was plenty of of lenses that gave me some great results. I hope to get the other 20 zoom/prime sets compiled for easy viewing soon (but encouragement helps!).

A huge amount of thanks goes out to Hollywood Camera, Aerial Filmworks, and Acey Decy Lighting.

This was at 6K. I was going to use the entirety of the sensor.

Isn't the zoom designed to cover S35 only? I'm not surprised the wide end doesn't cover Dragon. Good to see it starts to cover full sensor further down the zoom range though.

Angenieux made the 28-340mm for this reason. There is also a PL mount out that will enlarge the image for 6k coverage. Digitaloptik.net also is making a 1.2x PL to PL image circle adapter which will allow the use of the 24-290 on Epic 6K.

Thanks for the info Steve!
