Andrew Lesnie: Legendary Australian Cinematographer Dies at age 59

I had the pleasure of meeting him twice in Brisbane and he generously donated some time for me to interview him for my doctorate research.
What a great loss of a down to earth, friendly and amazingly talented guy. Very sad.

A stark reminder that tomorrow is promised to no one.

Sad to read this.

Legendary Australian Cinematographer Dies at age 59

Extremely saddened to hear that Andrew Lesnie ACS ASC has passed away yesterday. He will no-doubt be missed by
countless colleagues and fans from around the world!!

Rest in peace Andrew

Very talented man, and a good guy from people I know who've worked with him. Very tragic loss to all in the Weta Digital and Park Road Post family.

In my limited contacts with Andrew he was always open minded, enthusiastic and passionate about cinematography. A great personnal loss to his family and a loss to the world for all those wonderful movies he should have gone on to make.

I was on set today and heard the news... He and I are the same age... I met him once at the ASC and I found him youthful and a dreamer..... It humbles me and I feel the fragility of life....

Makes one remember to always live fully and don't waste your days.....

Dream on....
