  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Totally psyched about the forthcoming production of our new short And I Will Rise If Only to Hold You Down...

We start shooting in about two weeks on my much loved, Ketch brokered R1 with the Panchro/i's. We're doing a number of scenes at my house which gives me a huge luxury of pre-lighting. We're going for a Crewdson / Lynch esthetic and the lighting is going to be very sculpted and that challenge really excites me.

The treatise is available here... our writer/director is an awesome indie talent and we seem to be pre-visualizing everything the same. I was really impressed with the talent at the casting shoot and given that this is my first non-commercial production I have to say again I'M TOTALLY PSYCHED!!!! LoL. <----- Dork

Thanks to everyone here who have helped add exponentially to my knowledge base! I'm confident it's going to look twice as good for having hung around with you peeps.

Lighting test at dusk tonight. The lighting needs to be refined a ton and I see spots for 4 or 5 more but am happy with how things are coming.

8:20 pm clear skies ambient metered at T/ 0.7 . 2 at ISO 800. 32mm Panchro/i wide open (T/2.8)

And Thank YOU, Ketch! It was the R1 that I shot this piece with... Then coming here and joining the community lead me to Reducation where I met the Writer for our most recent short. AND we're burning the midnight oil to get an edit of that together to screen at Reducation next week. So far my short ride on the roller coaster we all lovingly know as Red Digital Cinema has been unforgettable...

by the way, here is the final version of that exterior shot. That's actually my house we used and we blew the main breaker lighting this scene... Heh.
