Anamorphic Workflow

Wondering if anyone has been working with R3D's in Apple Color that were shot using Anamorphic Lens'? I'm having a little trouble getting the right ratios. Footage always seems to look like 4x3, don't want to bake the color info into a Pro Res 444 file, because there would be a whole bunch of black on both side of the frame. Anyone had successes with the F proxy and Apple Color workflow with Anamorphic?

Set your project settings to a 2.4:1 resolution. Then use your geometry to apply a 2x de-squeeze. Apply to all.

How will this affect the exported PRO RES 444 files? Will they be properly set for Anamorphic projection? Or will they be baked for a 2k projection of 16x9?

If you're actually going to project animorphically with de-squeeze lenses, then you should reset the project settings to the 4:3 ratio and reset the geometry before you output.
