So just grabbed a komodo to use with my vazen set any ideas if 48fps in anamorphic mode will happen? Seems like its limited at this point? I would assume its a firmware thing 5k shouldnt be an issue with the crop?

Increases in FPS are limited to sensor read and processing. This is a question that keeps popping up as if there's something written somewhere that "FPS will be improved in the future", it will not and will probably never be. If people buy Komodo with the idea that FPS will be improved, that's not a guarantee to bet your investment on. You get Komodo for what it already has, otherwise there are other cameras. For a cheaper anamorphic camera, Gemini is a perfect choice.

What are the max FPS in 6k 4:3 1.8x anamorphic mode? I didn't find this info in the tech specs

Frame rates are limited by the vertical resolution. Knowing this, you can look up the fps for the same spherical resolution.
Komodo's anamorphic modes are all 6k with 3240 pixels and with that 40 is the max fps.

Thanks, I was wondering because the 6K WS mode can go up to 50fps using a similar sensor area
