Hello Red Users,
I apologize in advance for covering something which may have already been covered but as you're all well aware by now, reduser doesn't exactly have the best search facilities.
having said that i have found a lot of info but all seems a little too vague for me.
i am DIT-ing on a shoot next week, and its my first time with anamorphic lenses. we are using cooke xtal xpress lenses, with a 2x squeeze and 2:40:1 aspect ratio, we have a format converter and an ehurtz (both of which i am painfully unfamiliar with) to get a live un-squeezed image.
we are using build 17 after the DOP requested it. I want to be able to monitor on set PROPERLY both on the RED lcd and an HDMI monitor, and not hit any huge hurdles in post that i won't be able to get over.
I'm pulling my hair out trying to fully comprehend what needs to be done at my end but i'm not that confident yet, if anyone is feeling like a samaritan and can help me out with even the roughest of clarifications i would be eternally grateful.
Thanks in advance
Gille
