This lens is authentic Kowa Prominar glass with a Nikkor AIS taking lens. Interestingly enough some of panavisions anamorphics have Nikkor spherical glass as well due to their sharpness and image quality! This lens has a Rapido Technology sleeve to make the anamorphic lens more compact and professional looking. The DIY anamorphics can get ugly so this really helps tidy it up. And the Rectilux Hardcore DNA is the best single focus solution with the best sharpness and coverage allowing lenses of 37mm + to be used on a super 35 sensor! Honestly the best balance of image quality and affordability when getting into anamorphic!
