Create a 2K 16:9 (2048X1152) Format settings in the Project. Then click your 2.35 guides on. Under the shot tab, make X=100 and Y=50. Then uniformly scale the clip to 2.35 guide. In a 2K 16:9 setting, your clips should line up to the 2.35 guide at X=76.000 and Y=38.000 for a proper desqueeze. You should have quite a bit more horizontal resolution on the right and left sides of the frame if you deselect the crop feature. This is normal and yes, you are losing that resolution. It does give you the option to reframe your shot horizontally if necessary.
Post footage! Or pics!

2k??? not 4k?

If you try to desqueeze the anamorphic image in 4K you will have an undesirable aspect ratio. You can try it and see by making a 4K Project at 4096X2304 and make X=100 and Y=50. This is the proper desqueeze setting. Turn on your 2.35 guides and you will see how much more widescreen your image will be. You would have to scale your image up about 50% in the X field to match your guide.
Why do you need to render at 4K anyway?

ok cool..just want to see full on 4k don't really "need" it

so best Resolution is 2k when shooting 4k ANA mode? on the RED?
