This is our RED ONE production team, Rock R|C's first major music video job, Emi Tawada's "Lovely Day".

Directed and edited by Yo Kohatsu (the director of the first RED ONE film in Japan, Rase the Castle)
Director of Photography Rowland Kirishima (and owner of the Rock Studio)
Camera by Takashi Chiba (Musetex)
Lighting by Kenji Morita
Post production workflow and grading by Kaku Ito (Musetex)
Compositing by Taiyo Kikaku
Line Manager:Naoyuki Terajima

Many thanks to Emi and her team to post this in HD with full length.

Enjoy!

isn't that painting fabulous? It took over 10 hours to finish painting.
We shot pretty much everything in 4K but it was too bad that we had to paint white over after we were done.

Cool video Kaku.
Interesting visually particularly for a "white cyc" video.
The color grading in particular was quite nice.
I dig the artist's vocal performance and that full 'fro'.
Very good job.

Thanks Brian,

This is probably the first ever REDcolor/REDgamma clip out for public in Japan.

I let the director edit with proxies including speed change, then took the XML to Clipfinder then sent the used clips to ROCKETcine-X and grade them, then export the entire length of the clips (this process took about only four hours). I used the latest ROCKETcine-X so I was able to use REDcolor/REDgamma and the FLUT to control.

Prores4444 out back to FCP then mix them with the composited clips, then finally sent to Apple Color for final retouch.

So, everything was done "in house".

System used:
Mac Pro 4,1/FCS3/Multibridge Pro
Panasonic TH65PF12 with 444 connection (calibrated with Calman/Klein K10)

Mac Pro 3,1 with RED ROCKET
TVLogic XVM245W (calibrated with Calman/K10)

Both systems are connected through GraniteSTOR through 10Gb and 1Gb independent either connection (that means separately from the regular infra connection) to share the original R3D and rendered results. It was so efficient!

I think most of the lenses are RED Primes and sift lens. I'll check which shift lens we used. Thanks everybody for the complements. Rock R|C members will be thrilled.

What were the lenses Rolly?
