Has anyone used this card sucessfully with their mac? A friend of mine is thinking of buying this with a mac package and it would be good to know if there are any reports ion it so far.

It's quite noisy apparently. And you need the PC+MAC version..

Thanks Si,

I had already mentioned that there are other cards that seem to have good working compatibility already. Not much more when you're spending £3k already.

I have a couple of friends using this card with good results. I just got one but I haven't installed it yet. It apparently does very well with Quartz type stuff like Final Cut and Aperture. NVidia cards get better reviews because they are better at gaming.
I'll get it installed next week and try it with REDcine, REDalert and such and see how it does.

Thanks.

May be too late by then I think he's taking the plunge now! But thanks and would love to hear anyway.

It's not radically faster than the X1900, but it's not noisy for me either.
