Hi all,
I'm planning to purchase a system of Ambient ACL 204 to take the advantage of their ACN to get absolute the same tc from all the cameras and Sound Device at the end of every shooting day.
However, I read a post by Paul J. Steinberg, a senior member of this forum, saying that if we use the constant jam mode, we may have "a constant offset anywhere from +3 frames to -2 frames." Does it mean that I still will not get all the same tc in all machine even using ACL 204? But he did mention that if we use "JamOnce and use the ACN to wirelessly re-jam every few hours the lock has been absolutely perfect." Any experience that you can share with me to clarify his points, please?
Also, I don't quiet understand the difference between Master Lockit and ACL 204. Maybe, I should put the question this way: can Master Lockit completely replace the function of ACL 204, as long as I don't mind spend few hundred dollars more?
Besides, I heard about Timecode Buddy is doing similar thing. But to me, I tend to using Ambient, as I have been using their ACL 203 for many years already.
Before I make my purchase of their ACN system, it would be very generous from all of you if you could share some of your experience of the product.
Thanks in advance.
King
