  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Amazing Spider-Man Trailer In HD!!!!!!!!!!

Amazing POV sequence. The roofs are probably CGI, but the "look down the street", no way these shots weren't filmed on EPIC. In all - quite impressive.

Ummm, okay. The rooftop POV stuff at the end could have been cool if everything didn't turn into a PS3 videogame. Seriously, that animation totaly ruined the teaser for me. I hope this was just a byproduct of the leak and they had to throw something out there because if that's what we can expect uggg. The live action stuff looks good but the quality is so crappy on these NON HD trailers its really hard to judge. I'm sure John made the images sing but damn that last POV shot totally sucked and took me out of it!

didn't realize this wasn't their release. i wouldn't watch this until there is an official trailer. unless they're trying to do some kind of viral marketing or whatever...
 
I'm really hoping I will be able to see this film in 4k :) but will "settle" for a really good 2k/3D projection ...
 
There is a lot more to be excited about, but most of it will have to wait until more official trailers come out. The POV in this is not Epic. We shot RC 5:1 on 90% of the movie. It's good to see the first Epic movie start making it's way through the post pipeline. John Schwartzman and Peter Collister shot some beautiful material.
 
IQ (Image Quality) of the new Spider Man (3D) shot on Epic looks better than Hugo Carbet (3D) that shot on Alexa.

Hugo 3D has got a bit desaturated image look to avoid Alexa's image artifacts (too much magenta that makes more pinkish skin tones).

Just watch both 2D trailers and compare it.

Looks pretty much like CGI. Notice the details - especially the yellow cabs, I'm pretty sure this is CGI.
 
Feels like they were very inspired by this game based on the POV shots :)

They should have skipped the origin. Spider man gets bitten by a radioactive spider. Does anyone NOT know that already?

I was ambivalent about the point of view rooftop running and jumping. Innovative? Yea, kinda. Does give you the POV of what it's like to be SPider Man.

But also a bit disorienting. I couldnt' take a lot of it, so I hope they don't over use it. to establish, hey, this is what it's like to be Spider Man, ok, sure. But all through the movie? I will lose my popcorn.

It's like the first Transformers, it was, ok wow, transforming. Looks pretty cool.

But the second Transfomers, it was, Ok, err aahhha brtrnnnt zzrrrk screech, if they transform one more time I'm gonna find Michael Bay and slap him. how much transforming can you seriously expect the audience to take?
 
I also question why they repeat the story tho..I thought it's going to be something else, advancement from Spiderman-3.
 
They messed up on Spiderman 3...at least thats what I personally think, hopefully this return will be like what happened to the batman franchise...

Can't wait for the third one...but lets not get off topic, this is Spiderman 1 all over again, so lets see what they do for 2-3. The one thing i beg is no 'emo' spiderman.
 
I'm sure they will sort out the CGI, apart from that it looks promising, also more mature than previous ventures in the franchise.

Imagery looks good but will wait to see it in true form on release.
