  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Always have the hot mirror in?

digging around the internet i found a filter chart from tiffen that said when shooting the red one you should always use a hot mirror. is this the case with the MX sensor (one, epic and scarlet)?

ive been planning on buying a HMIRND 1.2 to use with regular ND filters then i read this and im wondering if i should buy a hot mirror for all the time?
 
Generally only need extra IR filtering when you go beyond an ND of .9 to 1.2 range (depending on how much IR is in the scene).
