  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Alvin's Cables/Flexible Thin LCD cables. Any good?

I have bought his TC cables, mixed results, some work some don't. Does not use real Lemo connects, which seems to be the problem.

While the cost of real Lemo angled connectors by themselves cost more than his cable assembly, quality from the Chinese knockoff connectors has been spotty. In most cases it has to do with them using cheap insulation materials in the connector between the pins which can cause them to work loose over time and short out or you will have an open circuit. RED and several other U.S. based companies use genuine high quality Lemo connectors that won't have these issues but quality costs money and they are more expensive. Lemo attorneys are working on cases where they are selling these in the U.S. for patent infringement but since these are being shipped from China they are hard to stop. I don't believe in supporting companies that infringe on other peoples I.P. regardless if they are good quality or not.
