While we are waiting for our scarlets to come in we are planning for what our second unit will use when going out. Right now we are using leica r on our gh4's but are thinking we want to keep them with the scarlets and maybe get something lilke veydras (m4f) for our gh4's to go out with, since it will be just a plug and play situation. Anyone else have any thoughts?

We love the look of the leica r on gh4 with speedboosters but want something with less moving parts

If you're looking for Native Micro 4/3 - these are pretty incredible

http://amzn.to/2caRD47

http://amzn.to/2c3z11r

All with Autofocus for the odd stills shot, or AF in video, etc.

If you're looking for something manual focus, CHEAP, and more versatile across systems - EF mount Samyang / Rokinon Cine - you can't go (too) wrong... integrated focus gears, aspherical glass, some can be used with M4/3 Speed booster (gives you effectively two focal length options per lens if you have a Speed booster and non speed booster adapter...

etc...

These regularly go on sale.

half decent "cheap" focal reducer:

Hope that helps!

Less moving parts? Once you have the SpeedBooster mounted the moving parts are the same. And you will seriously miss the SpeedBooster.

I have been using speedboosters for years now and the ones I have on my gh4's are getting loose, that is part of the issue I am having, can't even use a follow focus with them, too much play, waiting to hear back from MB right now

yeah it does, ended up buying the mamiya set off Ketch, has some focal lengths we dont currently have so will be double duty, waiting for word back from MB right now
