so I modified and modified it until now.
I think this system is ready and fine enough
So I would like to sell 10 of them and hope those who buy them can give others your feedback.

Does the A-mount accept all existing PL mount glass?

Does it replace the RED PL Mount?

What about idata?

david

I dont think idata was ever supported in this mount. I am very interested to test this as I have been looking for a more robust solution for my ZF set.

Congratulations, I have been waiting for your product for a long time.

Does the Nikon mount control iris on the G lenses (very important)?

Have you sent one in for RED to approve yet?

How soon is the Leica R coming out? Any possibility of making a Canon EOS one?

Thanks Derek,
1. For the G lenses iris, I am designing something else for it to control the iris, it is not good for adapter to control the iris.
2. I haven't sent them to RED, but I will asap
3. Sorry that I am not sure when Leica R can be out. I will keep update.
4. For Canon EOS, it's no possibility. (there are some posts above talking about this)
thank you again for your support!!

Just for clarification on your A mount system.
#1: How do the lens mounts work? For example... If I have a C/Y mount lens, does your A mount just attach like any other lens mount adapter would on the existing mount, or do you need to remove the existing C/Y mount and then screw the new A mount to where the old C/Y mount was?
#2: If I had my Contax lenses converted to your A mount, and wanted to use my PL mount Cooke zoom, how would I do that?

All the Best!

Looks awesome, exactly what the community needs. And finally a high-quality Contax mount.

But: I'm begging you to not make the mistake two lens mount manufactures have made by starting to sell their mounts before having received an approval from RED.

We are eager to get a good mount, and you are eager to recoup some of your investments. But please give your baby a few days extra time so it doesn't get killed before it had a chance. The concept is just too good!

Get in touch with Jarred and start this whole thing off on a good foot with RED.

And just as a cautionary note: this mount is not currently approved by RED, thus installation of it will void your warranty (if there is any left on your camera) and likely void the trade-in program for an Epic.

P.S. Love the detail about the mount cap having an A. Shows that you are in it for the quality. Thanks!

A solid professional Nikon mount is exactly what I have been looking for, and if I can toss PL or even Lieca lenses on without having to change mount and without voiding warranty...sign me up. Jarred, please give us some good news.

I cant see any reason why this wouldn't be accepted.. i do need to see it though to put our stamp of approval on it.

looks fantastic...

Music to my ears good man. Allstar, would you say as simple or similar to the current nikon mount installation?
