Hi everyone,
This is our new adapter- Hasselblad to PL adapter, which is designed with PL-style lock, please watch the video:
http://allstar-cine.myweb.hinet.net/html/red_accessories/A_M_adapter.htm
item code: Ha-PL
$360 USD

Hasselblad lens has very long focus throw and excellent optical quality( it will only use the center of image on 35mm camera)

Nicely done

The Hassy 120mm is a gorgeous lens, especially for fashion and beauty work. It was my main go to lens for years in New York. It's also macro, so you can move in for extreme close ups.

I'll be picking up one of these eventually... nicely done!

Will this adapter work on the newer lenses like the autofocus "Hasselblad Zoom Wide Angle-Telephoto 50-110mm f/3.5-4.5" ?

[i.e. can I manually focus and zoom a newer Hasselblad lens with a PL adapter hooked to my epic, i am assuming the automatic part of the lens will not work with the epic pl ]

Looks good but I would buy into it if you could use a Speed Booster type reducer lens built into the mount adaptor as I want to use all that beautiful glass. Would this be possible?

Hi,

you setup looks amazing !!

I've been playing around with the idea of attaching an iscorama on medium format lenses for a while,

could you share your impressions of this setup, and maybe some pics, or footage

would be much apreciated !!:001_smile:

Shot all of these on a similar adapter (except it could tilt shift) with Hassy Glass, on Scarlet MX. To promote new characters on Ax Men.

wow, very nice !!

which tilt shift adapter are you using ?

have you also tried medium format lenses with an anamorphic adapter ?

cheers

Great adapter,

We designed a fixed mount for our Hasselblad set and we love it.
Those lenses look good on Dragon, problem is to find a short focal lenses...

REady for bigger sensors!

Those were shot on this adapter:

It's plastic and not super sturdy, so we moved to the Mirex T/S adapter, which is all steel:
http://www.mirex-adapter.de/tilt_shift_adapter.htm

The Mirex adapter is much sturdier, but I'm not sure it has as much "tilt" as the plastic one. Nevertheless...it's what we use these days!

Never used an anamorphic adapter no!

Great adapter,

What fixed mount did you convert them all to? EOS?

Agreed about wides - 40mm is the widest you can really get, and the 35 is a fisheye!

Awesome. Will get that one and try it out. The Hassys are so beautiful and it would be amazing to start using them more :)

Make sure you check it out thoroughly before the end of the return period. Fotodiox quality control is extremely hit-and-miss. From them I've had adapters so tight I could barely get them off, adapters so loose they wouldn't stay on, adapters so tilted that I could see one side of the image was blurry in live view without even zooming in, and adapters that were fine.

If I were you I would at least go with the "pro" version (http://www.amazon.com/Fotodiox-Adapter-Hasselblad-Canon-Camera/dp/B002JXXMD8) which is supposedly built to higher standards.

so we moved to the Mirex T/S adapter, which is all steel:

The Mirex adapter is much sturdier, but I'm not sure it has as much "tilt"

Well, actually, most of it is anodized aluminum. The Hasselblad bayonet, the shift movement gear teeth, and some knobs are steel. But I agree that it's a great, very well made product. Also, at the Mirex's max tilt, the focal plane is practically perpendicular to the image sensor; I can't imagine why you'd need more.
