  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Allstar dovetail for RED bottom plate

ALLSTAR shoulder pad is a great product that meets good price and performance.

Also in the combination with ALLSTAR dovetail for R1 you can leave the shoulder pad

on dovetail even during shots with a tripod that makes one extra option for fast and easy

(almost in a second) getting camera from tripod to your shoulder and vice versa if you needed.

Thanks for the reply Allstar. Just thought as you were now making an excellent product, then you could also sell it to people who did not buy the RED bottom plate, but did buy an ET baseplate, or like me, bought both but NOT the arri dovetail. Seems strange, but I have my reasons!

Anyway, I understand if you don't want to go down that route.

I just wanted to say Allstar's product and service is excellent. I received my plate in good time (to Hawaii). My latch arrived damaged (but functional) from shipping, and after a short email and some pictures Allstar immediately sent me a new latch, no questions asked. Great service, great plate!
 
Allstar, I have only heard good things about your products and always thought that you bottom plate design was a very good idea.

I am very much interested to know whether are going to make one that would fit on a 2060 Oconnor head.

Thanks everybody ,I am very glad you like my products. Actuality some people criticized them when they just got my products. I don`t sell those products to make a living, I just made some thing I need, and then I thought, since I need this, maybe others need it too. So I start to make for people. Spending thousands of money for the basic accessories is horrible for me, so keep original RED part as possible when I design the products. Any issue you might have, like damage, too loose or tight, returning request...just feel free to tell me, I`ll cope everything as I can.

Hi,Yaque ,the "O`connor type" was just for 1030 not 2060. So if you want to use my plate, you should buy $500 version and work with 2060 tripod quick release plate. Please send a buyer request mail to : allstar.cine@gmail.com

I wonder about the camera plate for the shoulder mount. It seems to have the same width as Sachtlers Video 18 plates. But I suppose it isnt the same?
Can you use a Sachtler plate on this?

I won`t continue to produce Allstar dovetail(AD-N). This is my first product, and I like it very much when I use RED bottom plate. But after Allstar Base(AAB) has been made, it could replace RED bottom plate and provide better function on HH. Besides, RED bottom plate seems can`t use or doesn`t suitable on Epic/scarlet. So, I won`t produce Allstar dovetail for RED bottom plate, just sale surplus units and provide repair service. Thanks everybody the support, I`ll keep design and make practical accessories for you.:thumbup1:

This is an old product for me, and it had discontinued for a long time. But some people still ask me about this product.(maybe many people still work with RED bottom plate)
So, if you need Allstar dovetail(AD-N), please tell me in this thread, I`ll make it again if we have enough amount of requests.
