  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Allstar A-mount system is available! --with REDONE approved!

Looks like my A-Mount left customs yesterday and should be getting to me today or tomorrow. I can't wait. Now I just need to figure out how to mount some anamorphic adaptors that I just got onto my ZFs.

Allstar,

I have my A-Mount for 3 or 4 month now, and it is a wonderfull accessorie, very usefull, I love it.

Now it's my time to upgrade to MX sensor... No problem with A-Mount on the new sensor?? This question is because I don't know if the original RED One PL-Mount suffer any changes when upgrading the camera.

I'm using the Allstar A-mount with my RED MX and there has been no problem what-so-ever. So far I'm really liking my A-mount and I think its something that people should buy if they want to shoot with certain still lenses. Mainly all the ones that have a manual iris.

In case you missed it on the M-X upgrade email - Make sure you put the original RED PL mount back on before sending back for M-X upgrade or they won't do the upgrade!

Hi, guys
BNCR adapter is ready to go, the price is $280

I recently sent mine in for upgrade and asked it they cared if i left on my locking Nikon mount....They said no problem. It was not mandatory to send it back with my PL mount installed---just to make it clear. BUT, i'd suggest calling or emailing your rep first.

Allstar,

Amazing news with the BNCR mount.

Now that you have most adapters, I hope it will be very easy to implement them on the upcoming EPIC.

Hi,
A-mount will be attached on EPIC easily, just need to wait for EPIC available.

After finishing nikon G adapter, I`ll stop produce new types of adapter, and focus on rehousing lenses.
Thank you very much

Is the Nikon G version available yet? How many different ones are you making/selling now? Sorry, I have been busy and have not kept up with the forum lately?

I was just going by the MX upgrade email - I think they've been fine with their own Red Nikon mount instead in the past, but probably not with a third party mount like Allstars. Safer just to put the PL mount back on probably?

I keep my A mount on..

i think its an approved mount, you can keep it on.

It's approved but I would tend to swap back to the PL before you send it in. I can vouch that little variances from the plan can cause delays.
