Hey everyone!

Just wanted to show off the teaser for the no-budget feature we shot in NYC on the RED in January! Check it out and let us know what you think!

http://www.vimeo.com/9112818

It's my first feature as a director and we got incredibly lucky despite our total lack of money!

If you like what you see you can check out our fan page on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/All-That-Glitters/243528705478

Cheers, and wish us luck as we get this thing ready for the festival circuit!

Cheers,

-Matt

Love the whole feel of the trailer. Cinematography is excellent. Good luck with this.

Sure, We had $20,000 through production and we're trying to raise another 7500 for finishing funds in post via indigogo.com I guess if we get that we move from 'no-budget' to 'micro-budget' hehe but whatever.

Thanks guys!

Here are some bonus stills for ya:

there are guys (on this forum as well) that have spent more than your entire budget just to shoot a trailer....

Nicely done. looks like you made up for lack of funds with lots of love and determination. Give us a synopsis...

hope to see this pic in a festival run.

slight critique: I love the composition but not feeling the grade -- seems extreme (kind of like it came out of MB Looks). I think it works well for the teaser but not sure I could sit through a feature length narrative...Your sound however, is beautiful. The music composition is nicely laid on and what ever audio you have is nicely sweetened.

keep us posted

Although the movie looks nice I can't say I'm big on this teaser, Shouldn't have the This is how the world ends thing so many times as it's more effective to simply end with it.
The text, pacing choice of music... just doesn't feel very polished aside from the nice looking footage.

Thanks again for the support and comments guys! The TS Eliot quote is pretty famous, and in the original the poem it's repeated three times so we used that for a structural theme (can't claim that the repetition was our idea or anything, ha!).

The teaser does a lot of teasing without much telling, that's for sure (but that is indeed the intent). We were trying to go for something a bit subdued, simple and elegant, not too poppy or flashy and a bit like a lullaby with a subtle undercurrent of darkness, ha! And Sid you hit the nail on the head, MB Looks was exactly what we used. We don't plan on using it for the film itself but it was handy at the time, hehe! Redcine-X will do the trick and then some, all we really need to do is curve it away from the 'milk' you get from Redspace and balance everything, but that's still a few weeks down the road.

We're days away from picture lock and I'll be heading to LA to do the 5.1 mix throughout April.

Oh yeah, church scene: practicals and one 600w LED panel from Cool-Lights with CTO on it :D.

Glad you guys like what you saw so far...the very, very tip of the iceberg, I can assure you...

Yes Chris and yes it does but most of them are very over-exagerrqated, sometiimes they can be good jumping off points for the direction you want to go in but for RED you always want to do a first-light in Redcine-X or whatever you have available that works with the native RED metadata.

Incredible work. Doesn't look no-budget or micro-budget to me. :)

Any way to invest in the film in the traditional sense?
