Ok, all of the sudden my Rocket card is showing installed, but the driver NOT installed. Was working fine.

Operating system is Lion 10.7.5 on my Mac Pro Tower.

I've tried reinstalling the current driver version 1.4.27, but I get a error message that says system extension cannot be used. The system extension /system/library/Extensions/redrocket.ktext was installed improperly and cannot be used. Contact product vendor for an update.

Thanks in advance for any help with solving this.

The card is showing up in Slot 2, but shows driver NOT installed.

Frazier, did this just happen after upgrading to 10.7.5 ? Or have you been using 10.7.5 and rocket before?

I was having the problem actually before I updated, I tried updating to see if that would help but same thing, no rocket card shows up in REDCineX Pro, I love computers...

I have a total system back up on Snow Leopard, which I may plug in that hard drive and run the OS to see if all is ok with that OS. It was working just fine on Snow Leopard and then I let someone talk me into loading Lion, and it seems like it was still working just fine even on Lion at least for a while. But it may have been a update that messed with me.

Thanks Johnny,

Thanks Johnny, I just rebooted to a cloned drive that has 10.6.8 and the driver and RED CineX Pro 13 is working just fine. Snow Leopard on that drive, it always worked just fine for me. But I had updated to LION and RED CineX Pro worked for a while. Don't know what happened. Computers..gotta love em.

I may take the old drive out, copy any needed files off it and wipe the drive off, then clone this fresh Snow Leopard back onto it. Then reload all my project files, etc. back on. Then maybe do a fresh update on Lion again on the troubled drive. I am thankful I have a completely cloned backup stored away.

It asked me if I wanted to update to V15 RED CineX Pro, going to hold off till I sort this out.

I'm definitely NOT moving to Mountain Lion till I have to.

Best,
Frazier
