Picked up Scarlet-X #590, "Cleopatra", today in Irvine (SO949). 2 hour round trip drive took 5+ damn hours. Barely made it there before closing. Typical LA traffic. Shout out to Nar Levoni for all his excellent help (pictured below screwin with my Scarlet lol). They're kickin ass over there.

So here she is...
With the Canon mount and a 35mm 1.2 Nikon Prime (below 3 pics). Didn't have my Canon lenses handy. I'll be fitting her into some different rigs and a new mattebox soon. This was one of the many set ups I'll have.

Here's a shot of her with my PL mount and the Red 17-50mm V2. Another modified should rig. Moved the touch lcd to the left but I'll need a longer cable to power. Perfectly lines up in front of operator.

Instead of a basic camera test, I'll be starting production on a new film in a few weeks titled "Abstraction". I'll keep you guys posted on the progress of the film, as well as frame grabs, BTS, etc.

We'll be shooting entirely on the Scarlet, along with another fellow reduser here. ANYONE ELSE THAT WANTS TO COLLABORATE IN LA, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. :) Here's the teaser image...

HAPPY SHOOTING ALL!

congrats Prince-
Cool to PU at Red Studios!
OK, maybe not the sales tax part, but still...
I'll have to make do with giving the FEDEX guy a hug.

Thanks Stu.

Actually, sales tax is 1% lower in Irvine than in LA. So I saved a bit there and on no shipping costs. And the fact that Fedex has been tossing packages at my door like a bag of potatoes, I felt better going to get it.

Don't worry I'm in Europe working, but I might change it to Cleopatra II or a different name ^^ enjoy yours!!

Good name! Haha, although lets just hope the camera takes after her rise to greatness and does not end up falling and committing suicide (but hey that's what Red Armor is for!) : ) Good luck with your forth coming feature!

Looking good! Great name btw.

Congrats!

Thanks Justin!

Great Name. Congrats Prince!

Thanks Lliam.

The Prince and Cleopatra, i like it!
Congratulations!

haha Sounds like a pretty good title for a film!

nice Prince congrats dude!!!

I take it you had to pay taxes?

Yup, taxes, taxes. At least it was 7.75% vs 8.75% if it was shipped to me. :/

I knew someone would say something like that! LOL I'm anti-red armor. Got extended warranty from visa and annual insurance coverage though... just in case she takes after her "fall".

Thanks Brian.

Hey congrats & looks good!

Let me know when you need help in LA and I'll see if I'm around!

Most definitely Justin. Thanks. And good work on maintaining the list.

Looking good! Great name btw.

Thak you Luc.

Congrats on the sweet new camera, Prince and thanks for the great pictures! I cannot wait for our camera to arrive. We received our allocation e-mail, but no FedEx e-mail yet.

Thanks Robert & Nick. Allocation is a good sign indeed. It'll come. Just cross your fingers there's either a lcd, side handle and/or redmote!

Hopefully soon, the Scarlet section will go back to a normal forum other than a place to get updates/track Scarlet orders. haha

Hey guys... just wanted to upload a few screen grabs from our shoot. So far, this camera has by all means been excellent. No problems to report. Additional story development has taken place on my short script (which was originally 47 pages) and we have now turned it into a feature film -- considering our schedule has been extended as well.

We'll be putting "Cleopatra" through some extreme challenges in varies locations within the next 2 months. Again, anyone in LA that has yet to receive their Scarlet is welcome to come help us shoot on set/location, let me know and I can schedule you into one or more of our shoot days for "Abstraction".

The screen grabs below are from scenes shot @ 4k with existing light using the Red 17-50mm lens. Unfortunately, I had to down res to a 1080 png. Only light color correction was applied to the first one, and just a bump in contrast on the other 2.
