  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Alexander Christ - OCTAMAS AG - Switzerland

Such a cool photo and such a nice guy. Congrats Alexander!

I was wondering about using two handles like that, though one would need the angle to be reversed so that it also pulls back on the right side. I like the idea of having it flawlessly balanced. Might not be a popular enough accessory though... Is RED producing one like so?

Congratulations Alexander and company. Nice car. :)

I was wondering this, too. It doesn't look like it is currently built this way but if you could simply turn it over and flip the grip, it could be convertible for either side.

I mounted one "Ted" handle in the front and one in reversed direction in the back of the camera, to mount the Outrigger handles like that you need the FMJ from Brook.

Congrats folks! I would love to rent your camera... do you consider rentals?

Did Daniel Reichenbach get his?

Great to see Epic in Switzerland.

Tschuss zäma!!!

I can hear you Daniel. The wait is killing me too. I was thinking hard about an M but I rather buy some more glass with the cash difference.
Hope this is coming to an end soon. There is so much cash just sitting and waiting...

Hang in there.

Everybody is crying EPIC, including me, but: RED MX is still a great camera. Shot these pictures yesterday, available light through two windows, a little fill. ;-)

Alexander, this might sound like a stupid question, but please humour me. Spent all day with our EPIC yesterday trying to figure out how to mount the damn Outrigger handles, and I cant for the life of me figure out how to do it! It appears to go directly underneath the LCD in every image ive seen of it. Any tips? :)

Andrew, yes you can mount the Outrigger handle under the LCD, you only need long enough screws for that. I have the handle mounted to the FMJ top plate and the LCD on a short RED arm.

Time flies... on 8th of July our 2nd EPIC-M arrived
