Hello Mr. Tyrel,
Please accept my sincereeeeest apologies because I refused to send my 4th request to ask tracking # (for the item paid on 12/29th).
Personally...(Humm).. What a Worst experience dealing with you fellow user. Lets take a look together at the following;

12/29/2015: Paid $90 for an Item ($80 for Reader and $15 for S/H)
http://www.reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?138848-1-8-quot-ssd-module-amp-1-8-quot-ssd-card-reader

01/05/2016: Asked for an any update on our purchase
01/05/2016: your replay, "Shipped it out a few days ago. You should have it any day."

01/10/2016: Sent Our 1st request for Tracking # (since you previously ignored)
01/13/2016: Your replay, "Did you receive it yet? "

01/14/2016: Sent our 2nd request for Tracking #
You ignored our request and no reply...

01/17/2016: Sent Our 3rd request for Tracking #
You ignored our request again and no reply...

Your last response was on 13th and now you decided to keep ignoring (after being paid). I think the worst thing you can do about a situation is nothing (or may be you don't check your email at REDUSER.net much often after you finish selling you items because people may bother you asking tracking # - LOL)

01/19/2016: Finally Contacting Paypal for look into this so I can get over with. What sad part...

Cheers

there should be a one strike policy!!! Not cool man that just makes me made thank god you have paypal watching your back hang in there man!!!

Wow, sorry to hear that. If he supposedly sent it he should have provided the tracking number. PayPal should back you up because he never entered a tracking number in the transaction data therefore no proof you ever received it.

That's just bad. Never a fun thing to go through.

thanks for support Fellas'

So, after this alert posting (here) and put a hold on the funds until the issue is resolved (by Paypal).... finally we got MAIL (Just one sentence)

"The package was retuned to me. Please confirm the correct address to ship"

Hummm... As a verified Paypal client over Past Decade, I never have above issue...

01- Still no explanation on tracking # (So I can confirm If package was sent)
02- No explanation on "Ignoring all our previous requests"

Sadly I decided not to support excuses and demand refund...

Again, no hard feelings, we all have time to do it right instead doing it over?

I think Paypal (or whatever replaces it) really needs the Postal Services to act as the trusted 3rd Party with a system using the following ideas:

+) The Seller and Buyer of goods pay for 1/2 the delivery. In the event an item is returned (eg due to the Seller lying about the contents) - then both parties are affected. This would cause deceitful Sellers to Loose money (because everything would get returned).

+) Before the item is brought to the post office - the Seller pays money via PayPal to the 3rd party (ie the Postal Service) for the cost of the item.

+) When the Postal Service accept the item - they take a digital photograph of the package on a clear surface (one from above and one from below). Packing tracking would be mandatory, and available to all parties to track the delivery (link send by email and in Paypal portal)

+) The Postal Service would have a date after which if they cannot account for the item - they become liable (eg 14 days). At that point,
they have to pay the Seller of the package the money they are holding. They also give the option to the Buyer to get their money back - Or to received compensation each day that the item does not turn up (up until the value of the item).

+) When the Postal Service arrives at the destination - the Buyer can inspect the package for signs of Damage - and if this so ask for the postman to take a local photo of this damage which is attached to the transaction. If Postman agrees there is damage (comparison of image with images taken earlier) - Item can be (at the discretion of the Buyer) be returned to the Seller. When the Seller picks return packages that have been damaged - this is handled on site at the at the Postal Service where fault can be determined. If cause by they Postal Service - they would compensate the Buyer and Seller respectively.

+) If the Buyer is happy and Signs for the item - Only then will the Monies held Postal Service be transferred to the Seller.

+) There could be a further level of assurance in which the Postal Service accepts items UNWRAPPED. This item could be scanned - and details sent to the Buyer and Seller. Item held at the Postal Service until the Buyer 'OKs' the images. After 24 hours - the Buyer is charged Daily. When item is OK'ed - the item is delivered in a Reusable padded container created by the Postal Service. When the Buyer receives the item - the Postal Service keeps the reusable container.

The advantages of the above system would be that:
+) Sellers could not create Wealth buy pretending to send items (as they are doing right now to create short term loans)
+) The Postal Services would be take a useful cut of the transaction for a service many would pay for.
+) Ebay/Paypal could get a good name for themselves - rather than one that allows miscreants to make our lives a misery.
+) Buyers could feel far more empowered that what they are buying is very likely what they will get.

Great idea, Antony. Your country's postal service must be far more efficient, trustworthy, reliable, capable, etc., etc. etc. In the US, the postal service is about as efficient (and all the above) as a boat without a bottom.

Some private entity, such as Paypal as you mention, could probably handle it. Otherwise, I totally agree.

WOW!

WOW!

WTF! This is a picture of the package that was retuned to me after I mailed it over two weeks earlier. The address matched the one that was supplied for me for mailing. Not my fault that the post office fked up! I refunded his money.

Good that you chimed in. Probably in hindsight, a bit more communication would have been helpful. I think Kwan was nervous over the non reply for tracking info. When money and purchases are involved, an over abundance of communication and info never hurts. Unfortunate the sale wasnt smooth, but at least you got your property returned and Kwan got/or will get his refund.

People need to get the whole story before loosing there S*#t around here. Now Im stuck with a tarnished reputation while Mr. Khan goes along his merry way just because the USPS can't tell how to read a fucking mailing address. Fuck US postal service!!!!

I can affirm that Tyrel is a piece of shit.

after selling him a Red Touch monitor, he bombarded me with questions, then insisted I ship overnight because he had a job he needed the item for... when I asked for funds for the extra shipping costs he disappeared.

After waiting a few days with no reply I told him I would ship and he wanted to cancel the order, telling me that he would just find a problem with the item and get a return it anyways, so I should just cancel the order. I feared him damaging the item to just get a claim canceled the order

Found a buyer in few days, no issues with the new buyer... no stress, no BS... I'd move on Kwan

Hummmmm..... I tried to avoid reading above comment, however I must answer since you are having a difficulty to accept the responsibility for this mess.

Let's try this (a shorter version - lol)...
Please confirm, how many times the request has been sent for tracking # and please be kind enough to let everyone know that how many times you have decided to ignore since you said "People need to get the whole story before loosing there S*#t around here"? Thank You in Advance

Now Imagine, for example:
what would you think if I have tracking #? would that stop you playing the Blame Game (to USPS).

1- You never refund my funds, Instead asked me to provide a correct address and tried to hold me responsible (btw, 303 West 42nd St. is my Paypal confirmed address since decade - lol).
2- I filled out the Paypal resolution to resolve the problem to get a refund for the merchandise I never received.

Fella' please allow yourself to accept responsibility of above please

And now if you stuck with a tarnished reputation while Mr. Khan goes along his merry way.... Next time you may want to try avoid using non-sense excuses as alternatives please.

Again, no hard feelings, we all Adults here (outdated children - lol).

Sincerely,
Kwan Khan

I do accept responsibility. I know it dosent mean much coming from me now but I want to apologize for being such an ass to Khan and Jeffery. Ive leaned from this that better comunication from me would have helped mitigate the problem. Id want the same if I was buying from someone. I love reduser and its people like me that make it not so pleasant. My humblest apologies. I love my red family!

Virtually all concern, complaints, flaming and shaming can be entirely avoided by keeping open lines of communication with your buyers.. I totally understand the buyer's frustration in this case. You can blame USPS for dropping the ball on delivering one of their millions of packages but I hardly think they're to blame for the lack of comms!! Understand your frustration as well Tyrel but keep in mind people buying this gear often have production or commercial dependencies on its arrival (and are often more than happy to make alternate arrangements if a package is delayed and the seller is in frequent contact helping manage the issue)

Well said! I've realized just how much Iv'e dropped the ball here. I do apologize and hope to regain everyones trust again. No more excuses from me just open communication :)

Thanks for bumping the thread.

Maybe we need an additional field associated with user.

REDUSER_seller_rating = Sum (VOTES from other active REDUSERS )

+) When you buy something from someone : You would have the chance of VOTING : YES = +1 (all ok) ... OR NO = -1 (had issues)
+) Voting only allowed by users that have been on the board for > 1 year

This information would be available in your profile area in the form of :
REDUSER_seller_rating = +10 from 12 votes

This would enable expectation to be set when buying from someone, and additionally for someone to improve their responsiveness.

Tyrel - you have a vested interest here - perhaps you'd like to champion this?

Antony, in a perfect world your idea works... but it doesn't take into account an impatient user (someone who is angry at the world or feels entitled?) from giving a bad vote just because an item didn't arrive on the expected date, but rather a day or two later. And perhaps someone doesn't like what someone else posts so they give them a minus as a buyer even though they've never bought from them.

I guess with any rating system there is always the potential for abuse, but the one we have in place may not protect a potential buyer from being bitten by a bad seller, but at least there is something in place to warn future buyers to be wary.

Maybe education is the best way... that is, check to see if a person has been on REDuser and try to get an idea if they are trustworthy. But for the naive, often it takes a bad experience to educate them.
